as much as id love a remake i dont see it happening. think about it if they remade FF7, it would be a big hit no doubt about it however by spending all the time and effort to make the remake, they could have used that time to make a new FF game. if they did want to make a FF7 remake, it would mean a big delay for the next main FF game and that wont sit well with a lot of ppl

I really really hate this topic.... all the talent SE has is on FF13 or VS... they aren't refusing they just dont have man power to topple a epic feat such as this, the last thinb SE wants is destroy to love of FF7 because ppl cant be patient.... it WILL come when the time is right

Actually, I can see a reason for why they won't do it. They know that they're damned if they do, and damned if they don't. Any change will be blasted by half the fanbase as not being faithful, yet not changing anything will get them blasted by the other half that want to see it redone, remade, reworked, etc. They did the best thing they could- rereleasing FF7 for PSN. I don't see an actual proper remake coming down the pike.

A) Remakes sell well... but not amazing. So even if they did remake it... remaking it on PS3 or even PS3/360 would be a ludicrous decision that would be lucky to break even.

It'd be lucky to sell 3 million... and considering how much FF13 and FF Versus likely cost....

I don't see 3 million making a profit for SE on HD FF7.

How much do you expect the costs to be for HD FF? Well, I bet 100M+ at minimum for FFXIII. Maybe 20M for Versus.

They already have the engine ready.

They have the story set out, the music wont need any drastic changes from what we have in Advent Children...

They wont need to look for voice actors, as they are there...

And there is a LOT of demand. I wouldn't be surprised if this is more wanted than FFv13 right now, tbh.
