In terms of revenue, the gaming industry is holding up not bad. Yeah they're a bit down from last year, but still above 2007 levels. 2008 was just a huge year in terms of software.
In terms of profit it's still terrible for many big and small companies, but that's not exclusive to this year...

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

Good post. I'd just add that Activision's profit looks like it came mostly (or all) from Blizzard.

A LOT of times, but the thing is that people only write articles and start threads about the times he's wrong. So, in the end you only read about his wrong predictions.
