Forums - Nintendo - I can live without the Zelda Overworld Theme Now

Hmmm, it could go a bit longer actually because now I contradict myself and can't back up what I say. That's interesting. Where? You came to these conclusions just because I don't want to do what you just asked? Seriously, it would be such a waste of time. I visit VGChartz for fun and now I'd have to do homework here too? Screw that!

I wonder how you see me right now: someone that doesn't appreciate Zelda? Just get this off your mind right away if that's the case. My sig and avatar is not a good indication of where I side as a gamer.

*EDIT: I'm at peace Khuutra.

Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Neither have I.

Every one of the few game series I have tried previous 2D versions of have been dissapointments, I imagine I would have loved ALttP had I experienced it back in the early 90s, but not now.

Give it a shot; it holds up incredibly well, far more than the NES and Gameboy versions. Get it on an emulator at least, to see if you'll like it: I suspect you will.

And the NES titles are still awesome! I've been playing them for the first time since I was a kid recently, and I love em (yeah, Zelda II too). Maybe it requires a love for the NES type of games... I thought I grew out of it, but Mega Man 9 clearly showed me otherwise.

I haven't played A Link to the Past in over a decade, so I'll be revisiting that soon, as well. I'm sure I'm in for a treat - love it when I haven't played a classic in forever, it's like a new game all over again.

Confession: I never beat Adventure of Link. Too hard. And that's after beating the original. Yeesh

I thought the second one was easier. I still haven't beaten the first T_T

Heh... if you think the 1st one's tough, you're in for a surprise. Zelda II is hard.

Secret Santa suggestion maybe? It's a good game. Might be a bit hard for younglin's, but I think you're an old fart so you'll handle yourself pretty well.

I've beaten Adventure of Link

I finished the final boss without taking a hit.

Guys, give Soriku a break. You're all acting like snobs!

And midi... Ugggh! I have no doubt it fits the "western" style of the game, but keep it for that game only please. TP had the best overworld theme ever, k thx (even though it's still midi...).

I don't get your second paragraph at all

Hmmm, I think you didn't get it because of either 1. I'm french and can't always explain my thoughts in english correctly or 2. I didn't explain what I meant by midi. When I'm saying midi, I'm talking about MIDI-formatted songs. For the handhelds, it usually sounds more cheap compared to the "real 3D" Zelda games. Nintendo's been using this file format for most of their in-game music since... I guess the SNES?

I don't want to be mean, but Zelda games aren't really recognized for being strong in the music department anyways (other than for the themes, Ganon and other boss battle themes). I guess that's why we don't really see a lot of Zelda music remixes around the web.

With all that said, it isn't the best .midi overworld theme I've heard in a Zelda game.

What are you talking about there not being many remix's of Zelda music on the net?  I have a few thousand just on my PC.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

Why are you even quoting this five year old post? @___@

You know how forums work, right?

Fair enough, maybe it was all just one large missunderstaninding. No bad blood between us, I hope?

On topic: I just bought Spirit Tracks! I will commence playing it as soon as I'm done watching live Starcraft.
