You say:
Wii/PS3/DS: Amazing
360: Respectable
PSP: Ok?... does that mean MEH?

yes

I think PSP sales are awful

if DS can do this in its 5th year, PSP has no excuse to be so low

but I said OK to sound more diplomatic

Well, the PSP can't perform like the DS, let's remember who we're talking about here. Nintendo will always be ahead of everyone on the handheld turf, that's just the way it is.

Well if we go by this logic then back in the days people could have said the same about Nintendo on the home console market before Sony took the #1 spot. I don't think that's a good argument.

Nintendo made crucial mistakes in the 32-Bit gen that cost them. They haven't done it with handhelds. When they do, I'll recant such a statement.

So? This doesnt justify PSP's low sales. I mean the DS is currently outselling PSP 4:1. That's insane. Maybe it's Sony who made crucial mistakes with its portable to achieve such low numbers.

I wouldn't say Sony did much wrong...

I would say that Nintendo have just done a whole lot right.

Which would probably explain their lackluster sales. Beyond that, the two devices have very different libraries as well, the DS library can grab a wider market.

As I said, when Nintendo makes those crucial mistakes, we can re-visit the topic.

Why re-visiting this topic only if Nintendo makes crucial mistakes?

Because if they do, and their handhelds fall short because of it, that would warrant a re-visiting.

Otherwise, this is a stale subject. The PSP was never going to outdo the DS.

Ok so we can stop talking about Wii vs PS3 because the Wii was never going to outdo PS3. Oh wait...

You can drop the charade. I've given my piece, you don't agree. So be it.

Ok so let's agree that we don't agree then :P

OT: So Carl, tell me, what do you see the PS3 doing in Japan next week with FFXIII?

~200k in Japan is my prediction.

I'd like that some journalist interview Greengerg about Japan next week!

@Alby

I think he will refuse to be interviewed.

^^
Will he take cover behind Gabe Newell?
BTW I just realized I put too many g's in his name, let's just hope this doesn't gag and choke him, I'd feel guilty!
