Forums - Microsoft - XBOX 360 EASILY BEATS PS3 NOVEMBER NPD

Wow if the walmart deal really helped out that much then wonder how much Walmart plus Wii and $50 gift cart will help the Wii haha. I've heard they got boatloads of Wiis in for that deal and were selling quite well but that's only for local stores haha.

Well this isn't as surprising for me, because my original predictions were that 360 would stay over PS3 in the American region. Was a surprise when that didn't happen haha. And yes this is with Walmart, this has been answered numerous times.

It's possible that MW2 had a bigger effect for 360 in America than we had originally thought. I mean it did sell 4.2 million in 3 weeks haha.

Walmart ...

Time to Work !

Well done indeed. x360 is doing well in it's homeland.

@carl

Don't vgchartz cover "everything" so those walmart numbers would have been already included in it's total?

teamxbox sucks last time i went it said that 360 sold twice as much as the ps3 and npd and vg said 360 lost to ps3 by almost 50,000 thaht month

December should be very close - Neck and neck sales.

Once the holidays are over ps3 will win every month in America by at least 50k until Natal/Price cut.

You heard it here 1st...mark my words.

VGC track everything.

Not 100% positive about NPD though.

There is a link to CNBC as well.

These numbers are real.

@CGI

Glad you pointed that out. So many people seem to think that NPD = NA = The whole wide world that it is frustrating.

NPD tracks 60% of the market but not Wal-Mart and some smaller retailers/online things.  But they do estimate them to the best of their ability so it is 100% of the market covered in their numbers.  They don't like to let many people know that they do similar things to what VGC does but it is how they are able to represent it.

I really thought Sony was way ahead. This kind of blows my mind, and also makes me interested a little more, because I expected to come to VGChartz and get the usual "PS3 is ahead by 200k". Well, maybe a better race than I thought.
