Where i live we have 5 dedicated game shops within a few mins walk of each other if that. And thats without shops that just sell games aswell as other stuff.

Depending on which shop you go to they will have different stock%

I would guess new PS2 game sales are falling fast, whereas used is probably more steady.

I guess the point is the PS2 is inevitably going to die.

DS = 25%
Wii = 20%
XBox 360 = 20%
PS3 = 15%
PS2 = 10%
PSP = 10%

Personally, my local EB Games has an entire wall dedicated to PS2 games. And they only have three walls since it's at a mall.

About time... they should keep a AAA ps2 section and stop with the lame ports.

Best buy in downtown Toronto still stocks Fable, Halo and Halo 2 for Xbox. They should have the "PS2 essentials" for a long time to come.

At Wal-Mart I think next major mod changes PS2 games will be outside the cases in keeper boxes. Right now the PS2 is hanging on to one section. We also rarely get in PS2 systems.

Obviously Gamestop/EB will be different because of the vast amounts of used PS2 games.

This makes me sad. It's like the passing of a long era.

figures , if Sony would have left PS2 BC in the PS3 i think the PS2 would be doing a bit better , and probably would have lasted a bit longer then it is going to last.
