"Oh one thing we're all forgetting, no matter what score Famitsu is giving it, it's still going to be in the top 10, if not top 5, best selling games this generation. Or at least on the PS3 for definete. As is usual for FF games."

From the first comment on the Kotaku article.

Top 5 best selling games this generation, ololololol.

They are probably excluding the Wii...

Which still sounds ridiculous.

MW sold ~13m, W@W ~10m (not counting Wii version), MW2 ~10.5m (still selling tons), GTA IV ~13.5m, Halo 3 ~10.5m.
Then you have all the Wii games like Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Wii Fit, Wii Fit+, Wii Play, Mario Kart Wii.

On one console alone. The PS3 version of Final Fantasy will do very great. It will probably end up being the third best-selling PS3 game behind Gran Turismo 5 and MW2. In the Top 5 best selling games this generation is a little exaggerated but top 10 is possible.

I don't see it outselling GTA IV on PS3 as well. Its at 6m already and its still selling.

And top 10 this generation, only on PS360. No chance with Wii included, which I don't see why wouldn't it be since its a part of this generation.

"And yet, I've realized that maybe living a "decent" life means you won't ever have a "good" life."

lol. And at a time when it's never been easier to get a 40/40.

Matsuno > all

@Darth

The game will be awesome for us and for everyone who is expecting it Darth, no matter the score any magazine gives it ;) BTW, I beat you for the 8 days warning at the official thread :P

 I know

It never really mattered what score FF13 would get.

I just hope maybe now people gain respect for famitsu for proving they are not just cheap sell outs that people thought them to be

One hyped game not getting the perfect score does not prove or disprove anything about Famitsu's reviewing integrity.

I personally think you're taking this so well because your hype for FFXIII was artificial in the first place. I swear I woke up one day and checked VGC only to find you'd caught Final Fantasy fever!

wtf?

why is it so hard for you to believe the hype is so big it doesn't matter what score it gets wholikeswood?

& if my hype for FF13 is artificial....well I have no words

respect lost towards you

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

12 was a good game, considering its scale/content/graphics/fmvs burned onto that disc, and the fact it was on ps2 (imagine a gamecube/x-box version *droolz*). The semi-free roam battles added more strategy and epicness (famfrit/ the wyrms?) etc. People who hate 12 are...Haterz, who don't appreciate all the detail and effort put in that game. The espers, the locations, the fmvs, the licence grid, clan hunts, teleportation, boss battles, customisation. 12 was a f%@kin masterpiece! Stop hating!

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

The Espers were completely useless. Also, the storyline and character were boring.

And since when Summons are actually useful in any FF game? That's not an isolated problem from FFXII, hopefully FFXIII corrects that problem.

They were VERY useful in FFX and somewhat useful in FF7, FF8 and FF9. The Espers in FFXII dies in one hit from a monster.

The summons were probably the most important factor to beating bosses in FFX.

@g-value

Useful in X? Quick Hit + Auto-Life >>>> Everything in that game. I could beat penance and Nemesis at 255 Agility using only those two skills.

In FF7, excluding KOTR (which was only useful for a certain strategy for Emerald Weapon) none of them was actually useful, and some were even prejudicial, like Kjata.

In FF8, excluding Eden, none was actually useful other than to be HP meatbags, which espers from FFXII could also be used as

In FF9, why did you even use summons? Their damage wasn't even significative, even if you cast Ark at a Shadow-weak enemy.
