Forums - Sony - Should i buy X-Edge?

Hey Guys,

i am in trouble. Im a Huge Fan of RPGs, and 2010 will be great. (WKC, FFXIII, SO, RoF and so on).

But i want to play one NOW! :P  And my Dragon Age Copy will take some time because its imported from the UK.

so here i am, thirsty for RPGs, and just a few choices.. so i throwed an eye on X-Edge (Or Cross Edge.. whatever :3).

I love JRPGs, and im so wanting one right now, that i would get everyone.  But i didnt play any of the Games necessary for this one.

Any idea if i should pick this one up?

(the other option would be Disgaea, but im not a big fan of strategy games :()

I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!

Same question I have looked interesting

I will say if you buy X-Edge (Thanks I wasn't the only one who calls it that), it would be for your love of the other franchise.

Personally I will tell you to buy Disgaea 1-3.

Edit: Overall as JRPG person, I think it has a decent challenge, and some funny skits, but the game misses that appeal that most JRPG game....I can't really point out what it is missing, since I don't know myself. (I would call this appeal the hook)

How about instead of meddling in the nonexistent PS3 JRPG catalog, you buy a PS2 JRPG?

I would strongly recommend Disgaea 3 (or 1 or 2) over X-Edge, even considering your thoughts on SRPGs.

Seeing as how you might have a Wii I'd recommend Tales of Symphonia 2.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

If you can get it for cheap... I think it's the type of game that you finish once or twice and get bored afterward. Combat system is pretty unique though, and the story is not that bad... (not good though)

I have cross edge, don't really know how to play it. The gameplay is pretty good but I'm getting kicked around by elementals and I need to figure out how to synthesize.
