What is the all three consoles cost the same what do you think the sales would be like? I think sells would go up for 360 and the PS3 and stay the same for the Wii. The 360 and PS3 sales would go up for the same reason, because alot of people don't want to pay that much for a system as it is. The PS3 sales would go up a little more than the 360 becuase the price hurts the PS3 more than it does the 360. I say the Wii will stay the same because all those peoplw who bought a Wii for Wii Sports and games like that could only get that type of game on the Wii, those are the people who don't care about graphics. What about you what do you think?

I remember reading a survey somewhere that if the ps3 and wii where the same more than 60% would buy the ps3 i guess that would be the expected outcome .

PS3 for the win...simple fact they have the biggest user base from last gen

Sorry, I meant to put in my first post, Which system would you buy? I would have bought a Wii and a 360, and then waited on some decent games for the PS3.

it would be PS3 in a freaking landslide, BD players for 200 = tens of millions sold. and i would buy the PS3 but since its only 200 id buy a 360 for blue dragon and lost oddysey too

I suspect that the Wii and XBox 360's sales would remain about the same while the PS3 would be selling faster than the PS2 did; the price drop would not benefit the Wii that much because it is already an affordable system and the PS3 would eat all additional XBox 360 sales with its better known brand, greater developer support, and Blu-Ray playback ...

If they all cost $200 the technical specifications would change for the 360 and PS3. They both would still outpower the Wii but the difference wouldn't be nearly as great. The PS3 wouldn't have a blu-ray drive either. I see what you are getting at with this thread. That said, the idea behind it is flawed.

Sony would simply go bankrupt (loosing 600$ per console). It's the same comparsion like 'if mercedes cls would cost same as honda civic, which would you buy?'

@ Darc It's just a "What If" question but I see where your getting at, but if you got into the tech side of it Gears would have never came out, but look at it like they all dropped the price to 200 dollars which brings me to what you said robjoh Nintendo would be losing any money, 360 would be losing around 300 for the Premium (I think) and I think the PS3 would be around 500-600 per system because they already lose about 200 now I think.
