So wait a spin off game (Versus 13....that is an action RPG) will sell as much as the main game (FF13) in Japan?

XIII will sell 2m week 1, probably 4m LTD
Versus XIII will sell 1.5m week 1, probably 3m LTD

Very front loaded sales for both. Remember, Versus is being made by the KH guys, and they know how to make a good game

if you mean Japan only sales all I'll say is "BEST OF LUCK"

Why do you think that this is so unlikely to happen? The userbase of the PS3 will be much bigger at the release of FFVersusXIII than it currently is and will be in two weeks.

1. Versus 13 is a spin off....may not have the budget of one, but will be seen as one

2. PS2's userbase was greater when FF12 launched, but FF12 sales < FF10 sales

A higher userbase doesn't always mean higher sales

I personally also don't think that the sales of FFVersusXIII will overtake the ones from FFXIII, but there is still a quite big chance that it will come close to it IMO.

i think its unlikely coming out in 2010 even for japan. chances it will be delayed like every other title that has come out so far.
