I only dare to predict that the 360 will outsell the PS3 in exclusive software, but that's almost a given.

im skeptical:

one-natals success, its reall hard to get people to go out and buy an add-on product to play games like wii motion plus, whose really taking advantage of that technology.

two- that microsoft wont price drop or come out with a slim or something to slow down ps3 sales,their not jus gonna let them outsell for the next 10 months.

3-will ps3 current momentum even last, i mean yea the marketing and games are great, and i know gt5/ff13/GOW3 are all early next year but still i dunno.


ultimatly i think by the end of 2010 we might have an race for second place, but it would take an hd revolution in japan and some serious neglect from microsoft early on in the year.

I wonder why people think that these awesome games or addtional content is going to change anything. Personally i think that its all great but people already know those consoles and their opinion isn't going to change. Natal and wand are great no questions about it but how that is going to change anything? It's not like all these years of building a brand and opinions about it are going to vanish. They may change a bit but they won't go away. Sales aren't the only thing that drive the expirience. There's much more then that in xbox in ps3 and in wii, everysingleone of them is uniqe in some way. They have their pros and cons but users aren't going to live their lives on how many games or how great they are. There have always been great games on every platform. 2010 is only a continuation.

Forgetting about Reach are we?

It's ok posting a bunch of PS3 games but that doesn't mean it has the better line up, look I can do it too!

Splinter Cell Conviction + Mass Effect 2 + Halo Reach + Alan Wake + Fable III + Rare + Natal + MechWarrior + Lionhead ect ...

That's how they can seriously be considered 'equal'

the thing is those games first iteration already being on console execpt for alan wake, and conviction, and look like they will give minor boost to hardware.

pushing systems sony does have advance, and that was he mean, metacritic rating and software sales are another thing.

xbox will drop down to 129 in 2010 and will gain some sales there.. sooo its not all bad

Next cut is 169.99 arcade and 249.99 for higher end model.

Look at the price cuts of the original xbox.

I'm expecting the Arcade to dissappear entirely and get replaced by a $199 Elite.  Then we'll get a $299 Natal Elite to compliment it.

That would be great for MS, increase value quite a lot with out suffering the loss of $.  I don't see that holding of the PS3.

Also that might mean the cut wont happen till natal comes out.

I think they'll try riding out the spring as is, though the Elite/Arcade phase out might happen pre-Natal (say August).  Then bring back the $299 SKU with Natal (and a bigger HDD or something) for November.

I think we'll see Sony counter with value-adding too.  And Nintendo for that matter.
