Forums - Sales - Which game will sell more. Heavy Rain or Epic Mickey

now, on the surface, they have nothing in common, but if you look deeper

Heavy Rain is not only a new IP, but a new genre. It's going to be an interesting to see how much it can sell on PS3

Epic Mickey: normally a disney character + Wii is a pure win. But to have a Mickey Mouse design that hasn't been seen in decades... is an interesting choice.

Both games has a chance to be very good, or very bad (both review scores and sales-wise)

What do you think???

My vote goes to Heavy Rain, slight win, but with potential for bundling, it's an obvious choice

I'm going to have to go with Epic Mickey because it's Mickey Fucking Mouse by Warren Fucking Spector.

Tag - "No trolling on my watch!"

Epic Mickey by far, I guess.

But I just hope they both turn out to be very good, because both look very interesting.

EDIT: I don't think Heavy Rain is a game from a new genre, from what I've seen so far I think it's part of one of the oldest videogamng genres, which was invented in the 70s: adventure.

mickey mouse and wii's install base is way too much for heavy rain to compete with... honestly if heavy rain sells over 500k id be suprised while epic mickey will easily sell 1 mil plus. please note i love heavy rain as its one of my most anticipated titles and will definitly buy it but im just trying to be realistic

Epic Mickey will be advertised and probably well to boot. So it wins.

Epic Mickey, easily

should have included ALAN WAKE here too.

I personally think all 3 will be sales bombs.

None of them will crack 1 million in sales.

Joke thread, bro?

Epic Mickey, no contest.

4 ≈ One

Heavy Rain is like a point-and-click adventure with an overdeveloped sense of cinematics. It can be all kinds of awesome, but it just isn't going to appeal to very many people.

Mickey Mouse is one of the most recognizable IPs on the entire planet. It's going to have some measure of appeal to tens of millions of people.

Honestly, this is one of the most bizarre and lopsided comparisons you could have possibly made.

@CGI: So iust because David Cage says it's not really an adventure, it's not an adventure? This logic is a bit too simple imo. So what is it according to Cage, did he already come up with a name for his new genre?
