... 360 edition, and are impressed. 6 page article in link.

Time to get bloody. Ushering us into a room laden with linked Xbox 360s, Morris and Polge invite us to sit and take part in some serious multiplayer action. We happily oblige.

The playtest kicks off inside (and out) a giant wheel-shaped space station. What strikes us like a bolt of lightening seeking out a hairdryer is that the already staggering Unreal Engine 3 – so impressive in Gears of War – has been tweaked to even greater levels of visual excellence and performance.

I saw some pictures ... it looks amazing
I look forward to buy this game

So I guess we know the 360 version definitely hasn't been canceled then. "Tweaked to even greater levels of visual excellence and performance." Now is anyone going to own up to being one of the great many Sony supporters that claimed Gears of War possessed the greatest graphics possible on the 360? Somehow I doubt it........

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

So it looks better than gears on the 360... I wonder if it will look just as good as the ps3 version..

 2008 end of year predictions:

360: 25M

wii: 40M

Interesting. I haven't been following this game much at all (the only Unreal game I played was the original), and thought it was one of those shooters that were clearly built with great technology, but look like complete ass due to a colour palette consisting entirely of grey, brown and gunfire.

This article got my hopes up by describing the scenery in an actually interesting manner, and letting me know there's actually a promising single-player mode. I'm not sure at all what "an extensive, deep and compelling single-player campaign" counts for these days, but it could be good. Beating Halo in this regard shouldn't be to hard, and I hope they're not setting their goals that low.
