Like I said - those are only a few of the reasons why I love it. I also think the codec stuff is great in MGS3, but I decided not to list every single thing I love about the game... Because if I did, the list would never end! :D

I agree 100% it's such a perfect game. I think MGS4 is my all time favorite, but MGS3 is an extremely close 2nd.

I think it is the best because The Dark Knight pretty much copied the story in that game and it made over a billion $ box office.
That goes to show the powerful influences MGS4 has.

It's certainly the best MGS, and it's on my top personal 10 games of all time list.

I need to track down Subsistence so I can play it with the improved camera.

Track it down! The improved camera for Subsistence made the gameplay alot better then when i played the original.  My original Subsistence disc 1 got scratched bad but luckily they rereleased the disc 1 for subsistence in the MGS collection.  This is my favorite MGS game in the series.  I hope the sequel can deliver the same great experience.

Metal Gear Solid 3 is the best game with Metal Gear Solid 4 for PlayStation 3! It is sooooo awesome!

Why not? It's been a while since I've seen it anyway. It's still a little funny.

 

On topic: I almost absolutely agree. I still prefer the 1st one, but the 3rd is not that far behind.

I think Kojima's greatest moment ever was when he made us pull that trigger. Such a simple thing that added so much to that scene.

Hey, I have no problem with the joke... the comment/thread that spawned it was so utterly ridiculous that we should never forget it.
