Well, I guess it evens out since first party Wii absolutely RAPES the PlayStations. <3

Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness, Mario Kart, Starfox (and Adventures), Pikmin, Wave Race, Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario Sunshine, SSB Melee, and a host of others were like quantum leaps above what the N64 was offering (well, Wave Race and Starfox were a bit of a step back......). The Wii games have motion control, but they don't blow me away like the Gamecube games did in their time. That's my complaint.
This is more of a criticism of the Wii's hardware, than Nintendo's application of the Wii's hardware.

PS1 + PS2 didn't need the big 1st party games though, that's the difference. Look at what Sony 1st party did this gen when the 3rd parties were starting to go 360...
The market leader has usually had the best 3rd party support, and for some reason that aint happening this gen. That's what people are mainly complaining about... The quality Wii 3rd party support (or lack of it...). Not that "Ninty left the core" or whatever.
I would like to see another one of these threads showing 3rd party support for both Wii and GC (or PS2 depending on what you wanna look at), see how they compare... If anyone is up for making it.

Hmm... Actually, the bolded can just be turned around with "Wii doesn't need the major 3rd party support".
But still, i see people complaining mainly about the 3rd parties... So my point still stands

man that complained by gamers is stupid lol, if i reckon nintendo has abandon the hardcore gamers i would of ditched them by now which i havnt and probably never will
The wii has more games aka virtual console, wiiware, and lots of wii titles that are available and 2010 may beat 2007...
(heres hoping)... there is nothing wrong with hoping........

That's just your opinion. I disagree with most of your comparaison.
I've said it before. Nothing will surpass Metroid Prime 1
Otherwise i mostly agree with your assessment, except about Super Paper Mario

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
Can I just ask what was so great about 2007?
Living in the UK i found 2008 to be the best year in terms of nintendo first party support
nintendo fanboy, but the good kind
proud soldier of nintopia
actually Zelda TP is slightly better on the gamecube visually anyway.
I guess porting it to the Wii didn't do it justice lol.
