... I'm sorry, I'm probably really stupid when it comes to this stuff, but honest to god, I can't see a difference.
I can't tell anything either. They should have two screens next to each other so you can compare. Mario Galaxy has always looked good on HD tvs. Looks good on my tv anyways.

This a second time. They look a little glossier than the normal game, but I wouldn't call that better. Just slightly more plastic. This might just be a side effect of it being a still rather than in motion though. I never really looked at the NSMBWii screen shots.

I think some Wii games are possible to do 720p, especially with games like NSMB:Wii that don't depend on high super-realistic 3D graphics, they only use artistic 3D models with 2D environment, and there's not a lot of stuff going on the screen at the same time, that alone can be done with the GC Gekko...
But i think that the Wii output is locked at 480p, even with component cables...

I don't think anyone actually knows whether the Wii hardware allows 720p, or if it's just blocked in the firmware. Maybe some of the homebrew hackers know, though.
I guess Nintendo doesn't want people to know either. They made their decision on 480p this gen, and aren't going to stir up any shit by making some games in 720p even if technically possible.

I tried Mario Wii on a HDTV with a component cable and the resolution was a little more awesome than Super Mario Galaxy. People don't see the potential of trhis game, but Nintendo is already making pseudo-HD games so when the HD console will release they won't have difficulty to switch to HD.
