Anyway, what reason someone has to buy a PSPgo and then buy a UMD adaptor?

It isn't much better get the psp-3000? You'll have a built-in umd reader, a larger screen, and if you wish you can get 16 gb card. Everything for 200$ compared to a 250$ PSP go.

People, i'm happy PSP Go is bombing, this shows that there isn't that many of stupid people in the world.

Yet even with all that, the PSP GO still has more features than the PSP 3000.

Also it may be "bombing" but for ever 1K sony sells, its a shit load of profit

This is a retarded rumor. Common sense should leave us being extra skeptical of this.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Sony: digital distro is the future.
same Sony after launch: Hurry we shot ourselves in the foot! Oh no!

The PSPGo was never, imo, meant to be a replacement but sold to a sub-branch of the market.
DL only has yet to arrive for the majority of customers, hence its failure.

I foresee a 2010 PSP2 launch.

The rumor wasn't about SONY making an attachment, it was logitech.

That's exactly what it is, both systems are being marketted together and SONY said themselves when announcing the Go that the 3000 isn't going anywhere.

This makes very little sense... You're saying it's a failure because it hasn't succeeded yet... That means you know it will succeed but for now it's a failure. Why?

I know it was Logitech.  I can read too.  The fact of the matter is that the Go is a flop and the PSP2 (or whatever Sony decides to call it) is likely to launch next year.  http://www.brightsideofnews.com/news/2009/10/16/exclusive-sony-psp2-arriving-in-20102c-features-powervr-sgx543-graphics.aspx

If the Go was meant to be a simultaneous product that could forestall any new product launches, why is Sony going to launch 1 yr after its release? The simple answer is that Sony HQ realized that they had created a lackluster piece of hw.

you are getting way ahead of yourself halogamer... comment on announced shit and not rumors, Remember Ps3 fans said the slim would come out last year and allow sony to slasgh the price to keep momentum.

I know it is a rumor and every one should be taken with a grain of salt. However, the rumor is not based on random fanboy rantings. It makes sense.

...but you said yourself it doesn't make sense. The psp is selling decent every week... the market wouldn't have enough room for 3 handhelds and 2 from the same company... why not ride out the HW sales before prematurly killing it off

That joke isn't all that funny, but I laughed hard at the name of the business man, "Bob Logitech".

Yeah, last week was pretty much a fail for PA.  That one just wasn't actually that funny (funny situation, just not a funny comic), I couldn't read Wednesdays because of spoilers, and Mondays was just meh.

The Go could be phased out.  Conversely, the 3000 could be phased out and the 2 models would be the PSP2 and the PSPGo.  I don't think that the market has room for only 2 though.

poor go, but deserved for trying to win massive profits
