The songs are fantastic. Resistance is the best one IMO. It reminds me so much of the music from Xenogears.

both FF9 and FF10 soundtracks are the best
1- Main Menu (Title Screen): Loved it. I'm playing it non-stop, atm. I'm a bit dissapointed that it isn't the traditional Prelude, though.
2- Valiant: Sounds something from Final Fantasy X, which is great!
3- Battle Theme: Loved it since the first time I heard it, still love it.
4- Flash: This is the Battle Theme with a guitar intro. It doesn't fit, IMO. The ending is epic, though.
5- Battle on the Train: The same as "Flash," but with a longer intro and an orchestral version of The Battle Theme. It fits perfectly this time.
6- Boss Battle: I heard this when it first leaked. Dissappointed. I was expecting something epic as the boss battle.
7- Restricted Zone ~Hanged Edge: This song screams FFX. Love it!
8- Resistance Front ~Hanged Edge: Same as #7, but this one sounds like Someday the Dream will Never End (aka Fleeting Dream).
9- Main Theme: Meh.... I can't believe this the Main Theme.
10- Chocobo Theme: The best song I heard from the soundtrack so far. Brilliant!
11- Resistance: Another epic song. The best song after the Chocobo and the Battle Theme.
12- Lightning's Theme: The piano version of the Battle Theme. Almost as good!
13- Kimi ga iru kara/Eternal Love: I HATE HATE Jpop songs.
Overall, I'm pretty impressed. Can't wait to hear the whole soundtrack.
If you mean for a final fantasy game then yes i have to agree the soundtrack is very good but in a list of best game soundtracks ever itwouldnt even be in the top 50

THE name given to most of the songs are FAKE BTW
so lightnings theme isn't really "named" lightnings theme by the devs, the person copying it just gave it that name
same with the main theme, flash, valiant & resistance theme

we actually dunno what the name of the songs are.....so elts not assume thats the "main theme" & thats "lightnigns theme"
the names are placeholders only

Thank GAWWD!! 'Cause "Lightning Theme" doesn't fit as a charecter theme.
