Forums - Sales - PS3 outsold Xbox360 by 300k for this week. How much until end of year?

@ kowen: I'll repeat what I said earlier:

Pick your battles, dude :p

Everywhere I see you post, it's a tiny acknowledgment for the good sales Sony just had, usually immediately followed by some dismissal on another front. Agreed that other points sometimes need to be taken into account as well, but it's starting to look like a crusade to minimize it, while trying to protect the 360. (added: for which I have barely seen you do this same type of crusade)

I don't have a particular issue with any of those posts, but I just wanted to point out you seem hell-bent on doing it in every thread where Sony fans / whoever is commenting on their high sales at the moment.

Okay, the way you were called out in some threads was incredibly lame, but I feel like (can't say that I know for a fact so I won't) you are biting back by pointing to your own console of preference / snapping at Sony.

If that was aimed at me..... No I wasnt. Never been a Sony fan...

I do however like the PS3.

is this a joke? or do you mean you like PLAYING the ps3, but want it to fail sales wize

I dont want it to fail... I want the 360 to succeed.... there is a big difference.

The 360 is already a success.

Currently playing on PS3: God of War III

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger

all the systems are a success.
that cannot be denied.

It's true that the PS3 is having a surge in sales at the moment but I don't think it will last for long. There's still a big gap between PS3 and Xbox 360 sales worldwide, that gap might narrow down until Natal's launch which will be the time of 360's revival. So overall I don't think PS3 will superceed the 360.

The PS3 had a very strong 09 but they pretty much did everything they could to get back into the race. In 2010 however, it's looking pretty grim for the PS3. God of War 3 & Heavy Rain is the biggest thing going for the system while the Xbox 360 has quite a few big games coming down the pipeline. I expect both systems to trade blow for blow by the year rather than by the month. So while the PS3 had a strong 2009, I expect it to have a weak 2010, but then come back for a strong 2011.

You all attacked kowenicki for stating his opinion on Sony, and his like for the PS3...senseless. If anyone is derailing this thread, it's the PS3 fanboys that can't get a grip. It's called a forum, everyone is entitled to his/her own opionions on a console/company. kowenicki likes the PLAYSTATION 3 (maybe it helps if i spell it out for yall). On the other hand, he dislikes how Sony does their business. It's just how the PS3 fans feel...in reverse...get it? Good. Get off it now. Move on to congratulating Sony on their PS3 sales for this week, and sticking to the OP. In case you forgot, here's a reminder of what to be ON TOPIC about from here on out:

But that's what you hope.

For it to be something you think, guess, predict, speculate, estimate, guesstimate, you'll need reasoning behind your words.

Ie. why and how will Natal change the situation, what will it add to the games which the eye can't copy(and perhaps even expand on with 3D and wand)?

Your prediction vision might be spot on, but it'll be based on luck.

One side isn't better than the other and Kowe is so darned transparent that one just can't help calling him out. :p

I'm sorry, but I had to call you out on that. Neither of those is the biggest. A little game called Gran Turismo 5 says hi.

On topic, I think it's possible that the PS3 could get the gap down to 5.2 million or so, but it might not manage that. If it does though, it would be an amazing accomplishment.
5.5 million would be a good achievement.
