Forums - Website Topics - Suggestion for the Database.

The ability to post and update prices of games at retailers.  Users would be about to look at a game's page in the Database and see various prices for it at brick and mortar retails or online retails.  Also, users would be able to update prices based on price cuts, sales and other discounts.

I believe it would help the Game Database's case as a reference device and it would be some nice way to GD Admins and other members to make VG$.

Ehh I don't care I have work right now and that push a surge into the DB so I can do less updating...

It sounds great- with 1 exception. Prices change frequently. What happens if someone is having a sale for about an hour on a game? Is it worth trying to change it in the database? Also, what if a price is local only? Remember when BestBuy was doing the Gamestop used price matching at that one store? I personally see too many variables to make it worthwhile...

Although that is a great idea it may get confusing. Some places might have deals while others don't. Not every store in the world has the same price of the game, there always different and there's always that one store that'll be cheaper.

Not that it wouldn't be great if we had the service, but we can hardly keep any deal threads alive. I'd rather start out with a deal forum and see if that takes off, and if it does then add the feature to the database.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I think this sounds like a good suggestion.
