You did attack me. That post you quoted was directed at me, it's kind of obvious. An indirect attack. Else you would have just posted something without quoting a post directed towards me and wouldn't have added derogative words in it. Remember I was banned for telling someone to learn to read properly and this is just similar behaviour. I didn't attack anyone in this thread.

I don't think we can compare Star Fox with an action game like this one. Wii needs a new free-roaming RPG or action, that's why a lot of people is disappointed. Star Fox is an Sci-Fi shooter, so that's ok if it's an on rails.

A)  How else is gameplay going to work like that.  You can't have an over the shoulder melee adventure game like that.  With a gun sure... Melee it just wouldn't work with the Wiis controller.   I mean... once again think about how the controls would work...  The shot is way to tight to allow you to be very fast or agile at all without it being ridiculiously hard to control because you have no peripherial vision.

Quite honestly... I always expected it to be an on rails game... along the vein of Killer 7.

The OP didn't give any such qualifier, and that was what I was responding to. As for free roaming action and RPGs, we have those coming, like Samurai Warriors 3 and Arch Rise Fantasia.

Well, whatever, but you can't call everyone a whiner because they were expecting something different. That's just trying to cause trouble. IMO it's kind of pointless to make it on rails since the Wii is missing 3rd person games and WM+ won't shine as much.

I still hope though that Zelda Wii will be kind of what people expected from this game.

What reason would Nintendo have to release two similar games?  Two third person action games using Wii motion plus doesn't make much sense... from a business perspective, you'd want different types of games and there's not many on rails sword based hack-n-slash type games with hoards of enemies :P

No one said so here on Vgchartz, where we are right now. That's why most members here found it shocking.

Plus Zelda is going to be a 3rd person action game that will use WM+. And in that pick it looked like when you stopped to attack in RE4 or when you aim locked in Zelda, Super Mario Sunshine or Metroid Prime, where you couldn't move but simply look around and attack. Wasn't too difficult to imagine that could be the case. I never, ever thought it was gonna be on rails and most if not everyone here didn't either.
