Once again Soriku.

How.

How do you see yourself using the Wiimote to turn like that.

Look, man, i dont know how.

But somehow, someway, this game let you turn by yourself.

Check this

Two things;

1) These arrows are pointing to the right

2) Check the radar. To the southeast theres a lot of red dots

Meaning: Somehow, someway, you will be able to turn, so you can go southeast and kill these red dots

Maybe it is on rails. Maybe it sends you automaticaly to a location, once there you battle till its over.

And maybe not

cause, somehow, someway, you will be able to turn

(somehow, someway! See how epic these words feel?)

Who said you would use the Wiimote to do that? The game uses the nunchuk too.

Ok.  You use the nunchuck to turn.

How do you walk then.

yay lets whine about the chance that onrails might make this game worse for the japanese(because we wont ever play it anyway).Looks great fun tho, so thats too bad.Theres RS2 guaranteed tho.

By using the nunchuk. lol. How does EDF do things? Do you use a button to move left/right different from moving straight? What if, for example, you use the control stick to move straight, but then you have to press Z with the control stick to move left and right? It'd be like ToS: DotNW. Using the nunchuk's stick moves you straight but to free run you use Z.

Sounds like DoTNW plays like Vesperia.

Which means it locks on enemies...

Not really feasable with so many enemies.

I still expect a 3-D like Killer 7.

What if they just ditched strafing, a la Resident Evil 4?

Yeah, something's incredibly odd here. How does one make a game with three unrelated control schemes? If it's IR, why use Motion+? And if it's IR, how do you use the Classic Controller?

We see strafing and the motion plus could be used so that the game keeps track of where you're pointing even as you go off the screen or something like that, I guess, or it could use a different control scheme, but that sounds less likely to me.

Ah, didn't know about the strafing part. There goes that theory!

I'm pretty sure Motion+ won't help like that though. As far as I know, Motion+ just detects angles better: it has nothing to do where precisely you're pointing.

You don't even need lock on in this game. You just slash at the screen and whatever monsters that are on the screen at the time get killed. Look straight, see enemies? Slash. Turn around, see enemies? Slash. Of course it'll be more complicated than that but something like lock on isn't that necessary in this game unlike Tales where you're doing more short ranged attacks than in this game.

Man I hope you're wrong, because that sounds really boring. =^/

I edited that post, just thought I'd let you know.

Anyway, it won't be just like Soriku says :P If it's on rails, you'll still move sideways and jump and block, they say there are also a lot of weapons so maybe they make a difference. There's also dismemberment and enemys of many sizes, so I doubt slashing kills enemys automatically.

Im not obsessed with anything. I was defending my point. Either accept what I do or simply ignore me. No on saw it back there, you didn't obviously.

Really? How's that not obsessing? You claim to know what everyone did or did not think, and then you ask for proof of thoughts. Someone gave you a 2008 link on ign boards or something discussing that, wich means, yeah, there was reason even back then for some people to think about it. Yesterday Someone released here a video which showed several Wii games, with this one to the end (the 16 second trailer), that video made things really obvious.

Why would several members say they thought it was obvious in a non-trolling way unless they did think so? It makes no sense.

Because no one saw it as an obvious thing here, that was so obvious it wasn't worth mentioning. I was responding to him, you have to stay away if you will just come to try and lecture me. No one here ever thought it was on rails. It wasn't that obvious, and that's why you see so many shocked and disappointed people.

No one saw it because no one saw it.

Look, maybe it wasn't "so obvious", but some people did get that impression. When I saw the 10 (or 16 or something) sec video yesterday, I did think "oh, so this is on rails, I had missed that" and since no one said a thing, I actually assumed it was already known. Now, some people say they saw it earlier. Hell, some people on another board have discussed it an year ago. Why is it so hard to believe a few members here may have though about it too?

Besides, what's the point? You'll insist no one saw it coming and some guys will insist they did and everyone's gonna be stuck in a loop. And no, I don't have to stay away, you're insisting on something which goes against various members here, not a single one. Anyway, I may not have to satay away, but I mos likely will, there's no point in getting into that loop.

Considering you're not really pointing to attack but slashing at the screen and youp probably won't be making the most precise slashes all the time, M+ could help keep things more accurate if you're attacking from different angles and not just a slash straight across.

The same probably goes for Zelda Wii.

I think I need to stop reading news about this game: the more I read, the more confused I become!

I thought this was going to be something like Dragon Quest: Swords, in that you point, then slash. Is that incorrect?

So Dragon Quest Swords meets Sin and Punishment?
