What if they just ditched strafing, a la Resident Evil 4?

Yeah, something's incredibly odd here. How does one make a game with three unrelated control schemes? If it's IR, why use Motion+? And if it's IR, how do you use the Classic Controller?

We see strafing and the motion plus could be used so that the game keeps track of where you're pointing even as you go off the screen or something like that, I guess.

Ah, didn't know about the strafing part. There goes that theory!

I'm pretty sure Motion+ won't help like that though. As far as I know, Motion+ just detects angles better: it has nothing to do where precisely you're pointing.

You don't even need lock on in this game. You just slash at the screen and whatever monsters that are on the screen at the time get killed. Look straight, see enemies? Slash. Turn around, see enemies? Slash. Of course it'll be more complicated than that but something like lock on isn't that necessary in this game unlike Tales where you're doing more short ranged attacks than in this game.

Man I hope you're wrong, because that sounds really boring. =^/

I edited that post, just thought I'd let you know.

Anyway, it won't be just like Soriku says :P If it's on rails, you'll still move sideways and jump and block, they say there are also a lot of weapons so maybe they make a difference. There's also dismemberment and enemys of many sizes, so I doubt slashing kills enemys automatically.
