Which Final Fantasy had the best battle theme?

Final Fantasy 1 still has the best battle music to this day (of the final fantasy's)

IX. maybe that's why it is the only FF game that I finished.

IX's battle theme has no soul.  It's like re-animating the corpse of a dead hero; it was great once, but the magic is gone.

X's theme hardly feels like a battle theme at all.

VIII I like because it has a beat that's all its own.  It stands apart from a lot of other Final Fantasy songs (though still too close to VII) and has that sense of urgency, of "we're fighting for our lives" going for it.

Always felt it was ironic that the side character gets a better battle theme than the main character.  Guess the designers disliked Squall that much.

I've listened to XIII‘s battle theme for 3 years，but never tired of it.
