this guy failed at using the word "fail" properly
I am gonna just start calling the only console machine that I own with 20+ games as the NINTENDO DOOM MACHINE.

The problem for the Wii is that it did unreasonable numbers in 2008 and because of that, sales that are actually good (it's not like it's getting outsold by the competition) doesn't look very good when being compared to last years Wii sales.
Nintendo doomed themselves last year for selling to much. I hope they learned their lesson!

In fairness, PS3 numbers were for the week ending 29th Nov, whereas Wii's was for the week ending 28th

They learned the lesson, infact this year the numbers are low because they want to set a record YoY next year.
Instead the DS is selling like crazy because they want to show record numers even on the last 1-2 years of DS' life. :D

One problem, when a fad exists for more than 2 years consistently, it becomes a trend.
Natal will do ok, but not really attract new audiences, just give current 360 owners motion controls.

Hm, you're right. There is a good chance we will see Wii 2010 > Wii 2009, but they have to remember that 2011 > 2010 is a must as well, otherwise they will be doomed again.

They'll need games if they want to succeed, right now they don't have them |
Even without those AAA 3rd party titles and Black Friday bundles it "STILL" out sold Microsofts and Sony machines.
I wonder what will happen when Nintendo naturally releases their proper next-gen device
"Nintendo concedes defeat, hopes to cut losses with new console"
I'd put money on at least one major outlet saying that.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
its not a failure but its clear that the sales are Disappoing to VERY disappointing
after NSMB Wii & a price drop simply more was expected from it
