*First Post on this forum, been on this website for a while now, and finally decided to actually join... btw, great website*

Anyway, to get to the point I just wanted to tell everyone about this annoyance that I have about sequels. I just recently got a 360 and I was planning on getting Street Fighter 4 but now I found out about "Super" Street Fighter 4 and that just threw me off. Now I don't know how many people are going to be online because they all threw away the old game to get the slightly improved one. The same goes with things like Left 4 Dead 2, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Assasins Creed 2,and Mass Effect 2. (Some of these might actually be good games but I havnt played them and I am just assuming this).

Notice I didn't list Modern warfare 2 because I feel like the developers made it so that you didnt have to own the previous game to understand the story or gameplay, and there are enough games in the modern warfare series so you dont need feel completely obliged to own it. So obviously I dont hate all sequels, in fact Super Smash bros. Brawl is a sequel and it is one of my favorite games of all time.

So what do you guys think about all these sequels? Are you guys also angry about the online communities being split up because of simple game upgrades?

I love sequels to games I like. So no, I don't hate sequels. As for splitting up online communities, I think DLC does much more to fracture a community than a sequel does. Especially if you release multiple map packs.

That matches most of the post, but why did you include Galaxy 2 then?

Anyhow, welcome to the site! To answer your question, no, I don't hate sequels, and at times I actively cry out for one.
