Forums - Sales - Will NMH (PS360) outsell NMH (Will) despite being a port??

Well considering this game isn't confirmed to be coming out of Japan yet I see this as highly unlikely as Japan was the weakest area for the release on Wii. Now if it were to come out of Japan, obviously that would bode a little better but I don't have any comment on that right now. Haven't looked enough into it to give an educated answer.

If Suda's statements about this being a test of the HD consoles are accurate (give me a moment to luxuriate in the turnabout...mmmmmmmm..... okay I'm good) they'd be foolish not to release it in Japan. I'd say it'd make for a fine lab!

But you're right, it's unclear if that's going to happen.

Well I'm sure everyone would like to release their games everywhere but ya got to find a publisher.  Considering Ubisoft has already stated they aren't doing it, they will have to find someone else.  Might be a hard pickup might not be.  Will depend how much Marvelous wants to try and get it to the states to sell the licensing.  But Suda probably doesn't have much involvement in this aside from essentially making sure they don't screw up his property.  He's too busy with other things... namely making sure NMH2 is finished and that other game he is up on (some partnership with EA I believe right).

Wait, we're allowed to say that No More Heroes was something other than amazing?

Phew.

It wasn't that great. And since HD gamers see themes of violence and profanity and sexual content in plenty of games already, it doesn't have that "OMFG IT'S SO MATURE!!!" edge that it might have had for some Wii owners. And without motion controls, its gameplay is even more basic.

"Sudden"?

I mean, I've recommended it to others, sure, because I know there's a contingent of folks who like it a lot, but it was always with lots of caveats.

Nah, it's still the same club. Go back to the early threads: you'll see I'm right. We're just feeling more vocal nowadays!

I honestly have no idea whatsoever.

Well I still think that NMH is a great game. Not an amazing game but great indeed. Once again it was quite refreshing game to play amidst a lot of stereotypes that had built up in gaming before and after that. Felt the same way about Madworld. They had their shortcomings of course. But reviews seem to agree with me on 7s and 8s about the game. But got over hyped by a lot similar to Killzone 2 and Gears of War 1 imo. See Wii owners do the same things haha.

Montana- well although PS360 gamers experience that, those are just small parts in many of those games bar maybe the upcoming God of War 3. For the most part, PS360 games are pretty tame compared to the likes of Manhunt 2, No More Heroes, HotD: Overkill, and Madworld. Really only ones I can think of that will get on that level is GTA IV to a certain extent on themes and Gears of War 2 for its gore.

NMH would actually be quite a different experience for PS360 gamers. Maybe the shock value of the gore and themes won't get to them (although they are still whining about the airport scene in MW2 so maybe they will) but its definitely a unique picking when it comes to looks if you know what I'm saying.

It will outsell Wii version in Japan imho.
But it won't outsell it WW.
