I doubt it'll be that long as none of the main quests for other Final Fantasy titles have been that long.

I hope it's long in a meaningful way, not like FFXII where you get 10 minutes of plot followed by 5 hours of offline MMO experience.

Nah, you can beat FFX in 30-35 hours tops. I've seen people speed through it in less than 20 easy.

time i spent with the most recent RPG i played: 40-60 hrs. courtesy of Demon's Souls...

i hope to at least spend the same amount of FUN in that game. notice how i capitalized FUN. and also, please no long loading times, Demon's Souls had some long ones which was kind of annoying but the FUN factor made up for it so i'm alright....=P

It took me about 40 to 45 hours to beat FFX.

I did at 60 (well, first time... not much grind!)

Second... at... 150 I think. Maxed out everyone, did all sidequests, did away with Penance and Nemesis... (Nemesis is just so BORING...).

The only other games that got similar honor from me are FF VIII (80 hours twice while taking full advantage of everything in the game) and... P3 FES of course. First Journey... 182 hours. 94% personas only though =/

That's plenty of game length there then. With side missions and the odd mini game or two the game should last at least 70 hours. If it had plenty of replayability it would certainly become a justified purchase.

I do recall playing Final Fantasy X the first time round and spending a solid fortnight or so on it, that was a good amount of game time.
