Agreed. I can probably play Alan Wake whenever. Now Heavy Rain, on the other hand, well, I have to be relaxed.

Apart from the petty sales wars that are 100% going to happen, it wouldn't be a bad thing them releasing close to each other. Neither games will hinder each others sales and both 360 and PS3 gamers will have something awesome to play without the other getting jealous

Alan Wake.

You see, I'd never get too games like this at the same time, BUT if it did happen then my reasoning would be:

Heavy Rain is something I want to play without any distractions. Seeing Alan Wake next to my 360 would most definitely qualify as a distraction.

Even though my reasoning might not show it, I'm looking forward to both.

You know I actually liked the first silent hill and the third silent hill game better than I liked 2 (maybe because they continued the first games story).  But like you I would buy them both (heavy rain and alan wake); but since the game is not releasing for PC and I do not have a 360, I guess Heavy rain will have me all to itself that day.

heavy rain, for the simple reason i dont own a xbox 360, though alan wake does look good, so if i did own a xbox 360, it would be a much harder choice.

i might sound stupid but Heavy rain because i don't own a 360....

Heavy Rain probably, having watched the Alan Wake demo, the narrative turned me off.

i miss a good horror game and actually i was just playing Silent Hill 2 on my (1st) xbox a couple of days ago
such a great game and for this gen well Condemned 1 is my choice (i havent try the 2nd one)

Heavy Rain looks promising and interesting and since i loved Indigo Prophecy HR is a day one for me
so if i had both on the same day i would play Alan wake
then the next day HR for a little hehehe
just to try it

Alan Wake.. If only because I do not have a ps3, and that I don't think heavy rain will be any longer than indigo prophecy, so I would probably wait and buy it when it goes to 40$ or less new if I had a ps3.
