heavy rain, because alan wake doesnt look too good to me

Guys..........content is key. Tell us why you prefer Heavy Rain, without reference to Alan Wake.

oh ok, because heavy rain looks like it will have the best story (besides ffXIII) next year....it looks deep and looks like a AAA when it comes to replayability

See that is something that confuses me.  We've seen basically two sequences from HR, a badly acted sequence at a junkyard with some interesting elements and a . . . softcore sequence at a club/hotel room that was 'adult' in a somewhat amateurish way (these are my opinions, by the way).  Regardless, NEITHER of these gave any indication as to the makeup of the actual story of HR.  StoryTELLING, maybe you could say that but definitely not story.  We really don't know much of anything about the game's story.

that looks like a good story to me lol

Nice trailer, but it proves my point better than I ever could.

not really, the trailer sets up a mood for the game, its sets up a serious tone and makes me feel like the story is gonna be pretty worthwhile...that trailer showed us what the main character is all about and it looks like a damn good reason...your point is invalid to me, this trailer sets up a hype for the story that can easily become a great one.

We're almost saying the same thing.  The trailer sets a mood, as have the other footage we've seen, but very little if any insight into the actual STORY.  Story =/= mood or tone.  For instance:

@CGI

Sorry if it came across wrong, but my intent is NOT to bash Heavy Rain.  You asked people to say why they are looking forward to one or the other and I simply responded to the claim that it has a great story.  That's all.

Heavy Rain...for 'that scene' ;] lol jk

Alan Wake because I'm familiar with Remedy's prior work. I never played a game made by Quantic Dream's so I don't know what to expect.

Heavy Rain because I hope this game delievers an unique experience.

Alan Wake if I had a 360

Heavy Rain if i had a PS3

If I had both consoles, i would buy Heavy Rain, and pirate Alan Wake(in Brazil, buying original games is a thing for the high class). I would not buy Alanwake if 360 was not hacked. But HR deserves my money.

But i only have a Wii. I will have to buy Hanna Montana. >.<

Brazil, eh?  So are the women down there as hot as many American's dream of them being?

Is the gaming scene really that split down there?  Piracy that big?

Sorry for going off topic, but we could all use a little enlightenment and perspective.

I think I'm going to get both.

If I had to pick one, it would depend on my mood and the amount of time I have. Alan Wake looks more like a pick up and play title. I'd imagine I could get into the story/game pretty fast. Heavy Rain on the other hand, would require the better part of an evening to get fully immersed into, I'm thinking.

Both games look fantastic at the moment, but I have my doubts about Heavy Rain, simply because it's approach is so different to the norm.

In Brazil there are ALL types of women., from all parts of the world. In US i think that there is a balance between ugly and hot women. In Brazil, there are many people ugly, but some very very hot. About this American's dream, what happens is that foreigners come here in Carnaval, and all the hottest chicks dancing makes them this a Illusion that ALL Brazilian girls are very hot. But yeah...chicks here are VERY careful with beauty, even the ugliest woman maybe cares more than the average american woman.

In the gaming scene, the piracy is very very big. However the PS3 helped very lot. Most Ps3 users never had a original game before Ps3 games. The funny thing is that most x360 users says that Ps3 is MUCH BETTER than xbox. A interesting thing is that everyone has a PS2 with 736287 games. and Ps3 users are VERY hypped for The Last Guardian, because everyone played SotC xD. God of War and Fifa/WE are the most hyped things in the universe. A few friends only have a 360 to play Fifa/WE.

The price of the official games are somewhere $140 for new games, and for original games in the black market, like $90. A problem is the salary here, is not as high as USA...but the major problem is a bad habit. I know many rich people that say: With 5 original games i buy 300 false games, duh. Other "problem" is that VG is not very popular among adults, only now VGs are not being anymore a "toy" to be a "entertainment system". Most teens don't have the money to spend more in games than a Minimum Salary(or two).

(sorry for bad english)

Even though I don't have an xbox, I would get Alan Wake before I'd get Heavy Rain. I think Alan Wake looks excellent. Heavy Rain just looks slow and boring and it just doesn't appeal to me.
