Yeah, Microsoft tried to buy them in the middle of the last generation. Iwata basically told them, in the nicest possible way, where they could stuff it.
If Microsoft can't afford Nintendo, noone can.
if Nintendo stopped making consoles then this thread would not exist.

It's funny how people thought that N64 and GCN was a failure for Nintendo, when they still made amazing profits. People assume too much.
I would probably continue gaming if Nintendo left, but I would consider it an end to an era thing.
