If they had stopped doing consoles and concentrate on games, I would wish their games be Sony's exclusive. I don't know why, but someone will pay a lot to get Mario's franchise.

Yeah, Microsoft tried to buy them in the middle of the last generation.  Iwata basically told them, in the nicest possible way, where they could stuff it.

 

If Microsoft can't afford Nintendo, noone can.

I think they almost earned as much profit on the Gamecube as Sony did on the PS2.

actually no, they made almost as ps2 with GBA+gamecube.

gba sold 80 milllion gamecube+22 gamecube. and their first party

also that was by the time ps2 was 100-120 million

It's funny how people thought that N64 and GCN was a failure for Nintendo, when they still made amazing profits. People assume too much.

I would probably continue gaming if Nintendo left, but I would consider it an end to an era thing.
