I have yet to play my mission today.

If I had a video capture card of some kind, I'd be willing to take pictures of my army and turn this into a sort of Let's Play thread. That could be fun. I'd let you guys pick out who I give the Brunhild to, anyway.

yeah my first atempt to that map was a big failure, as they re-captured many of the liberated cities, ( >.> flying units)
Now i finished that map, and heading to avalon island, but i'm not sure if i will play today.

Btw, it appears that i'm taking the super holy mode, the alignment of all my units are really high, even my werewolf has 50 or something, trying to lower that down so i can actually use it. And my reputation bar is almost full O.o

Jesus, really? I'm still only just over half. I need me some more lawfulness!

Also, Lans's unit? I put Warren on there. And the other two wizards also became Mages. So now it's two knights and three mages. Nothing survives a battle with them, it's horrifying.

Okay, three things.

1. I got Norn. I guess my Reputation is high enough for right now!?

2. I got some Undead Staves, so now I have two Sorcerers.

3. 2 is partially a lie - I also got a ring of the undead. Warren is now a terrible, horrifying LICH.

For shits and giggles I went to another mission and sent Warren's unit - just him, Lans, a Wraith, and two Phantoms - straight to the boss. He steamrolled the entire level, it was horrific. The Lich is such a powerful class that ti can win battles by itself. Pure, unadulterated overkill. I hate to think how powerful he'll be when he levels up a few times.

Interestingly, this thread is the first result for "Let's Play Ogre Battle" on Google.

Instead of doing a mission today, I'm going to do something much more daunting: re-arrange my army to try to get the unis a bit more balanced out.

I'm thinking of taking Warren (who is a Lich!) and just using him to make his own unit. That'd be worth it, right? Him, Wraiths, and those ghost thingies?

Got my second Princess off a random drop! Woo-hoo! Still haven't got a Staff off a random drop! Noo-hoo!

You don't NEED a random drop, though! If you have a DEMON, you can trade for them in the magician city in Diaspola! (turn down his 10,000 Goth offer)

I know. That's where my only Staff came from.

Oh! See.... I got two Demons, somehow. One of them was in Disapola itself.

Liches... Liches are pretty cool.

Would a Lich running around with its undead minions make for a workable unit?

A Lich running solo would be a workable unit. They're not as ridiculous as they were in Knight of Lodis, but they're still insane. And if their meatshields die, they'll still only take single-digit damage from most attacks!

So now you know where to put your vampires and werewolves...
