Nippon Ichi Going Retro With Classic Dungeon

In addition to Absolute Modding Hero Project, Nippon Ichi has another new intellectual property set for next year. Classic Dungeon, as the title implies, is a classic dungeon crawler.

This week’s issue of Dengeki revealed the game, which has 2D dot graphics and optional 8-bit music to give the game a retro feel. You can play with that feature on the official site. Seems like Nippon Ichi is giving away the chiptunes soundtrack as a pre-order bonus too.

Classic Dungeon is scheduled to come out for the PSP on February 18, 2010.

It IS a dungeon crawler though, that genre hasent done too well lately, save for the Pokemon mystery dungeon series.

Well, it DOES look a bit like 3D dot. If it's somewhat similar in innovation to Half Minute Hero, color me very interested
