Seriously how could the PS3 dominate, dominating is 50% market share or more...

So if the Wii and 360 STOP selling TODAY the PS3 would need to get to 82 million sold to be dominating. lol.

Im not taking any side but dominating can also mean having more sales at the present time. Example is that PS3 could be dominating next year by selling more each week than other console while having less sale in his life. Im not saying it will, but it could be dominating the Wii in the future without surpassing total sale of Wii.

Agreed.  My personal definition of dominating means selling the most consoles at the Toys 'R Us in Augusta, Georgia on July 10th 2010 between 11:40am and 3:07pm.

Care to make it official?

The only problem is that by definition an object cant dominate.

though my inner fanboy would like this, but the PS3 has better competition than what the PS2 had last gen. however if the PS3 can sell like it has been doing lately it has a chance to atleast catch up to the 360.

2010 will be the biggest year for all three consoles IMO

Though my inner "gaming fanboy" would like this, I don't see that happening. I'm sure the 360 and Wii's peak year was 2008, and the PS3's will most likely be 2009. The PS3 has the best chance at a 2010 peak, but matching the spikes of this year (Massive price cut/slim, JP FF13) will not be easy.

Well, at least we have a ton of games to look forward to next year.

I dont know about beating the other console but the PS3 will prolly beat itself. It started selling well this year in september (9th month or the year).

Suppose the PS3 could "dominate" 2010 by having over 50% market share FOR THAT YEAR but even that is NOT going to happen.

DON'T WIN ME CHIBI BUDDY DON'T WIN ME.

ANIMAL CROSSING NEW LEAF FRIEND CODE:- 5129 1175 1029. MESSAGE ME.
ANDY MURRAY:- GRAND SLAM WINNER!

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

Your right, prolly Xbox (not by 50% tho) but surely not Wii.

HOW THE HELL DO ARTICLES LIKE THAT STILL GET WRITTEN???

It's not going to happen. It is so delusional that I can't even begin to describe how blind of a fanboy the person who wrote it is.

NOTE: I only read the title of the article.

you do know that the future is impossible to predict?

To paraphrase Douglas Adams, I'd say the PS3 is selling exactly unlike the PS2.

Now if PS3 was roaring away like the Wii at this point, then I'd see the link.

Almost, but not quite:)

Though the PS2's current sales, nine years on, are like a man saying "And another thing..." twenty minutes after admitting he's lost the argument.
