Its now at $300 same price the other launched at.
Its Finally getting Gran Turismo and Final Fantasy.
Br is now becoming what DVD was at early in PS2s life.

1) Only after the Wii has completely stolen its thunder, so it doesn't matter.

2) Big games have come and gone and Sony fanboys said the exact same thing about each and every one of them.

3) No it's not.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

B. It's not reasonable to forget that, unlike the PS2, the PS3 has competition that will never let up enough for it to dominate, namely the Wii.

That's true, never thought of that.

The Xbox was new so no threat, The dreamcast rolled over and died and the Gamecube didn't do much.

But this gen: the 360 got a huge head start and is launching stuff like natal. plus it has good games, and the wii is a fucking sales juggernaut.

Stop making these threads and just wait for it to happen [if it's going to happen...]

People were saying for the 07, 08 and 09...

Seriously how could the PS3 dominate, dominating is 50% market share or more...

So if the Wii and 360 STOP selling TODAY the PS3 would need to get to 82 million sold to be dominating. lol.

Im not taking any side but dominating can also mean having more sales at the present time. Example is that PS3 could be dominating next year by selling more each week than other console while having less sale in his life. Im not saying it will, but it could be dominating the Wii in the future without surpassing total sale of Wii.

That's where it seems to be. Mind you, that's incredibly selective.

It's like when the Xbox outsold the PS2 during the holidays of 2004, remember? There was a lot of PR around that. It still doesn't change the fact that more homes have a certain system, there are more customers. The flavor of the month perspective is sometimes appealed to, but it's both confusing and spreads delusion.

Agreed.  My personal definition of dominating means selling the most consoles at the Toys 'R Us in Augusta, Georgia on July 10th 2010 between 11:40am and 3:07pm.

Yes your right, its very selective and can spread delusion. But this is where the article was going, the title is PS3 domination begin 2010. Nothing about cumulatives sale up to now. I just wanted to point that fact to kowenicki who said that the PS3 would need atleast 50% market share to dominate because this is not the type of domination the article was about.
