@Talega, same multiplatform games, but people are smarter then that, they know PS3 has a lot of first party exclusives, and no matter how stupid the customer could be, they will always view PS3 has the premium console because it has blu-ray, u can not do anything about it.

Why do people keep saying that?  The $299 PS3 is the lead SKU for the console.  The $299 Elite 360 is the lead SKU for that console.  The $199 Arcade is not, even though the advertising pushes it (when people buy it, they want the HDD AND the holiday bundle is on the Elite).  Its a fact that the PS3 is outselling the 360 right now.  The race is closer than ever (and more telling than ever) because the lead SKU for each console is the same price.

yea soo? their are noo 199dollar ps3's  there are x360's @199dollar....

Then why do most reports claim the 360 arcade is the unit that sells the most?

This thread actually shows something I haven't seen on VGChartz a lot up until now.

The people who favour Nintendo feel that everyone is hating the Wii.

The people who favour Sony feel that everyone is hating the Ps3.

(This is generalising, not everyone feels that way)

 

This thread also has a surprisingly large amount of comments that the person who post them don't even fully believe.

Here's a quick instance:

Ps3 is outselling the X360, despite costing 100 dollars more! Fantastic!

Ps3 is a far better purchase than the Ps3. Buying an X360 has extra-costs, so you end up with a higher price than the X360.

 

These two contradict each other. Up until recently, I haven't seen a lot of people use both of those in the same thread, but in this thread, they have.

 

Edit: You could also twist the above into saying roughly the same about the Wii.
