Forums - Sony - Agarest : Generations of War, anyone tried it?

It was release 2 weeks ago in U.K. did someone tried it? I just purchased it on ebay from someone in the state but im not sure if Ill like it. I didnt like cross edge and its from the same developer, it also use the same interface so im a little unsure about my purchase. I want to know if I need to rush my current game or not. Anyone care to give opinion, I wasnt able to find any reviews online. Thx!!

I was gonna get it, but it's PSN release got delayed. So i'm no help

I only played the old japanese demo, but it seemed fun, although graphics wise it could have worked on a SNES I suppose.

The battle system is pretty similar to cross edge from the videos I've watched, but in Agarest you can walk around the enemy and stuff - doesn't seem to be possible in CE.

i bought the game on launch in the uk.

its a little different to x-edge.

you navigate a map, after each new battle and story scene another point is opened up. ie you navigate the map from going point to point.

battles are exciting and are usual of srpg its a turn based grid system.

im enjoying the game, it has better grafix than x-edge and has a good music score.

lots of dialogue in this game if u like srpg u will love this. chars are very well done and have personality

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

I heard people saying it was a "Hentai RPG", but it's a 12! WTF?
It also has no trophies! How can they get away with no trophies? I thought they were mandatory.

Hmmm yeah it looks nice.

I could buy it for £28, but I'm not too sure about the quality/price ratio. Maybe I'm waiting until I see it for >£20.

There is no US or EU demo in the PS store ?

X-Edge also looks decent, but these horrible reviews turned me off >.>

I imported it from the UK but haven't dug too deep into it yet, but it's alright for an srpg, better then X Edge. The VO's are in Japanese with English Subs.

I am kicking myself for getting it now though since it has no trophies and last week they announced the NA PSN version that comes in the spring is the only version that will have trophies.

well if you want it try get it soon as poss as its a 1 time publish only, mabey you will find some retailers selling thier copies they have left after that used prices will skyrocket.

dont listen to reviews of xedge, its a flipping huge game and the battle system is really involving the ammount of item create and item collection is just insane
