I can't help it, It was a good game, and so was my top 10 I listed and so were a whole bunch. Deus Ex is just on a whole different level. It is perfect in every sense of the word (graphics were perfect back then too). Like perfect, without a flaw. Even shadow can't match that.

 

Also how was your System Shock 2 play through?

Sluggish combat, slow progression, bland, repetitive environments, mostly bad voice acting...

Nothing really major. It's an interesting game. I just haven't been able to get into it.

Can I list Shadow's flaws in response?

 

Also I hope you two are happy, i just went to my vault which even the pentagon can't match in ubreakability and took out the (legal) dvd which contains both Deus Ex GOTY and Thief 2 to reinstall both games. Feeling a drought of amazing gameplay games lately.

It's a good game. The story and the way you can change it is amazing. But stealth gameplay circa 2000? That part just isn't that good anymore and unfortunately stealth is pretty central to the game. I played System Shock 2 for the first time this year, loved it, its aged beautifully. Got 30 hours into Deus Ex after completing SS2 and couldn't bring myself to finish. Hopefully Khuutra enjoys it more than I did.
