maybe, but who cares, that's why you should research which console is getting those 3rd party games.

This.

It's not the issue here, and if either of you think we don't know which system is getting what games, you should remember what site this is.

Isn't this the 'rage of the Wii fanboys site ?'

Darn I must have cliqued on the wrong link..

Seriously if the issue isn't that the game you like are not on your platform, why the constant complains about Wii third party support ?

Are you a major shareholder of EA or TakeTwo that is worried aboiut their investment ? or an employee of those companies ?

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Actuall Wii is gonna be able to sell at least 90 millions LTD, a HD Wii will be great too and with a market as big... Well its irresistible =P

That isn't what I wrote. I wrote it's not the issue about researching about what's on what system.

If you aren't going to read the whole train to get context, you aren't going to have credibility (and I've even done that, but admitted it when called on).

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Best of both worlds want HD buy a Sony/360 , if Nintendo want to go the HD route it will be next gen because changing your product mid cycle very rarely works, don't forget it was the price point plus motion control and bundling games that utilised it to add Joe public to there loyal fan base that helped them be this gens leading console . There is no guarantee that a next gen HD WII successor will be a quantum shift forward or just a step up to current HD ,       i think a step to current HD might be the way to go as it means using  technology that is becoming cheaper by the year so that's your price point  right there, and should keep on board the non hardcore gamer types plus mum and dad /grandparent buyers to whom price is a large factor in deciding what to buy and think that 1 gig of ram is a large herdof animals. This also affects institutions both public and private  like aged care facilities ,hospitals, hotels etc, who buy millions of consoles for entertainment / social and in the case of the WII some physical interaction

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

I'm not asking whether Nintendo will. Im asking if developers would give the support they keep implying they would give if only the Wii had better specs.

I honestly think that many of the people who really wanted the kind of games that the Wii has been missing out on have probably ponied up and bought a HD console by now and for the rest of the userbase would treat the developers and the games the way they deserve for being 3 years too late to the party, with indifference.

I mean if AC3 came out 2 years from now on a Wii HD it would have to be hella impressive for me to even think about it getting it. It's not because I want to teach Ubisoft a lesson or anything that shallow, it's just that I didn't get the first too games in the series, have no attachment to the franchise and would be less motivated to get it. The way the Wii has been ignored by third parties has forced me to accept that I'm probably not going to get games like that released on my system and I'm ok with that.

I think Fallout 3 and MW2 would have been on Wii if it was as powerful as 360 and PS3.

No, lack of third party support on nintendo consoles isnt something new

That's a bit presumptive, but also another likely excuse given to not give games for it.

Graphics can be very, very, very easily downgraded.
It is motion control that is a difference, that can't be ported with a few clicks.
