"I honestly think that many of the people who really wanted the kind of games that the Wii has been missing out on have probably ponied up and bought a HD console by now and for the rest of the userbase would treat the developers and the games the way they deserve for being 3 years too late to the party, with indifference."
That's a bit presumptive, but also another likely excuse given to not give games for it.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
