Forums - Nintendo - why no respect for the wii (nintendo).

@OP
You sold your Wii? Weakling!! ... ok j/k lol

Just commit yourself to buying the next Wii perhaps, and rest your pretty little sentimental head that you are more of a graphics whore and that you care for boob physics, and you like owning 10 year olds in XBL, there is nothing wrong with being vain, noOOOooo.

You have Uncharted, GoW series, Bad Company 2, inFamous, Bayonetta, Gears, Forza, GTA, GT, Street Fighter 4, Resident Evil 5, Batman AA, CoD:MW etc etc. So you want Mario too? All I can say is nyaa nyaa nyaa .... :)

I can I undersell when I NEVER CLAIMED they cheap. Neither of us know the budget, but if they are the big budget games, you can see why third party have ahard time making games on the Wii.

Actually, I can't. If they're low-budget titles, then they show it's possible to succeed without having to toss tens of millions of dollars, as is apparently necessary on the HD titles. If they're the high-budget titles, as I suspect, then they just show that success on the Wii requires putting care and resources behind your titles, as is apparently necessary on the HD titles.

Either way, third-parties are demonstrably doing an inept job on the system.

It's working though, I have seen Wii fans brag how well third party sells on the system.

Yes they have, and this includes Nintendo itself. But let's put facetiousness aside and have an honest discussion: many such games are selling "good." Some even sell "great." Why don't more sell "great"? We know it's quite possible to see stunning success on the system. We know from financial statements that 90% of third-parties are idiots. I propose putting these two facts together to reach the inevitable conclusion they point to.

This is where you make another facetious comment in response.

Oh, you know it.

It won't happen.

I mean MW2 was 40-50 million to make, I seriously doubt it would cost anywhere near that on Wii

Dude, it's funny you get mad third party developers for not giving you big budget games when Nintendo doesnt do it either.

Actually compared to most Wii games, games like Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime are probably big budget

I'll give you Mario Galaxy, but I'll put at LBP budget or Infamous level. Now let's analyze the big Nintendo Games.

Wii Sports

Wii Play

Wiifit

Mario Kart

SSBB

Mario and Sonic

Legend of Zelda

Mario Party

Wii Sports Resort

These are the biggest Wii published games to date, this doesnt tell you why third party games do not do those big budget games on that system.  They are just learning from Nintendo.

Except they can't pull off Nintendo game quality most of the time, so they should stick to what they are good at, and that's the big budget, and big budget on Wii should be at least equal to the big budget stuff of last gen

Sony makes some of the best games around, third party still make big budget games for the PS3.

Instead of you using quality since its so subjective, use Nintendo knows their audience and provide them what they want and third party deveopers are still clueless how to gain access, so they stick to what they do best and it's on the HD system.

Sony does, then why do they not dominate sales?  And even if we use reviews, the highest rated games of all time are Nintendo.

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

^How was it terrible, was anything I said false? You argue that Sony makes the best games around, I showed you how that is utterly false.

Nintendo makes the best games around, and that's true whether you use sales or reviews as your metric

Avinash: Quality does not equal sales. Have you seen the gross numbers from New Moon? Sometimes retarded shit (like Twilight) sells like hotcakes and good stuff sells poorly (DiRT on PS3 for instance).

Also, Nintendo has the highest rated games? Yes they do, but the reviewers don't know what they're talking about, giving all those low scores to so many Wii games, do they? That's what I gather from these forums (and you and many other users) anyway. Or is it that they do know what they're talking about when they give good scores and are morons when they give low scores? Hypocrisy is what I call that. There is also often a roar when HD games get rated highly, we all know that games with shiny graphics cannot possibly have any soul or merit.

Lastly; psrock stated that Sony makes "some of the best games around", how is that utterly false? He never stated they make "the very best" in neither sales nor average score. The Wii fans on here have become incredibly defensive as of late and a lot of users who used to be good at debating and making valid points are stuck either running in circles, being hypocrites or simply saying silly things or all of the above.
