Forums - Gaming - NSMB Wii for me = FAIL

Tekken 6, Modern Warfare 2, NSMBW... they're all over-hyped because they were expected to be better than all those games that game before them.... Don't buy games on release day. I know I wont after the release of GT5

I hope i'm not the only one seeing the irony in this post...

haha I agree that mechanic doesn't come off naturally
But like everyone else said, it doesn't occur often and doesn't destroy the game

The 'Press 1 and shake' to grab thing annoys me too. It doesn't seem natural. Shaking for the propeller hat, sure, I enjoy that. Shaking to move your bubble, sure. Tilt for platforms, okay.

Just played it last night with friends for the first time. Lots of laughs although they felt $60 (Cdn) was too much to pay for it, and I agree but I'm loving it all the same. I felt that same way with Street Fighter IV (too little development cost to justify price tag)

The only motion component that irks me is the whole "press 1 and shake to grab" thing. That bugs the hell out of me. The rest i am either neutral towards, or find rather enjoyable.

This I can agree with though. I don't get why I must shake to pick up as well. Pressing the button while standing next to something should be enough. In fact this is the only part of the whole game I dislike so far.

i have more problems with the "hold 1 and waggle to spin jump".  i tend to hold 1 down constantly so that i move faster and i know it doesn't help for as long as i've played video games i tend to move the controller while playing.  in comes NSMW and now the guesturs i always have made actually make me jump in the game.  i swear i've died to unintentional spin jump more then anything else in the game.  i'm kind of getting the hang of controlling my gestures now but it's hurting my overall experience.  :/

I don't like 1+shake to pick things up. The rest I like. Tilting platforms adds difficulty, shaking when in a bubble is hilarious and sounds like Carol Anne stuck in the TV from Poltergeist.

6/10 haha.

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

The only problem (and when I say problem I mean "added to the difficulty significantly") was World 7-Tower... where you have to direct the platform all while avoiding Bob-ombs. Moving the platform and Mario simultaneously was pretty difficult (But I'm guessing it was supposed to be. ).

Other than that, the propeller suit mechanic just feels soooo good when you shake the WiiMote to fly into the sky. Love it!

Other than that, I really don't have an issue with anything else. Wonderful game.

What are you talking about. There is nothing wrong with the motion controls..... Just a slight slant and it moves that way, it doesn't hurt game play at all. I can't see why you are complaining about such a minor thing and making a huge deal about it.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

crossed tekken 6 off your list as it is indeed awesome. I haven't tried the two others so I can't comment on them in this aspect.

I'm not sure if i'll give this game a go sometime. It would also require me setting my wii up.

Check out my game about moles ^

What?! Someone dares (*gasp*) to suggest that a Mario game doesn't have perfect controls?
