I'm expecting Brawl to beat Halo 3, although not by a lot. Halo 2 beat Melee on the Xbox that sold a bit better than the Gamecube, but the Wii is going to have an install base way bigger than the competition this time around. Brawl also has way more new stuff than Halo 3, which is bound to attract attention from the hardcore and casual crowds alike.

I think it will comfortably pass Halo 3, with Sonic/Snake, the level editor and online play, its a sure bet.

No FPS has ever broken 9 million before. Halo 3 will definitely be the first, but not by much. And then Brawl will destroy it. Halo 2 BARELY passed Melee, and that was with the XBox selling barely more than the GameCube. With the way the Wii is destroying the 360 and that Brawl is a million times the game Melee was (while Halo 3 is only maybe 5 times the game Halo 2 was), Brawl will win.

I'm pretty sure the Halo series has better legs too, the game is still charting while melee is not. The halo series also had to go up against lots of other FPS games and it still sold that much, while Melee had not other fighter to go up against and it had those sales. Halo is the much better game, the better series and has more fans.

Those opinions bring nothing to this debate...

I think it depends on how much Nintendo choose to advertise it on television.  They've been advertising MP3 lately in England, I think the same will happen for SSBB.

 seriously, what was the point in saying this? the only thing it might to is star a pointless and un-provable areguement. anyway, halo 2 sold only 1.5 mil more then ssbm of a slightly larger userbase, and this time round its the wii who has the larger userbase so brawl outselling halo 3 is definately possible.

No I doubt it, it will get close the halo sales, but halo 3 has sold about 6 milllion copies already and counting.

Those who don't believe Super Smash Bros. Brawl can beat Halo 3 in sales suffer from a condition which will come to be known as Miiopia.

If the ongoing destruction of the short-sighted views on the Wii hasn't convinced anybody now, they probably never will. And they'll remain surprised at every milestone Wii passes in this generation as the superhero called Captain Obvious shakes his head in pity with a 'tsk tsk tsk' at the shockingly unconvinced.

Halo 3 will sell big but many Wii games including Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Fit, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl will sell bigger.

And add Mario Kart, Wii Music, Wii sports 2 (or Wii MotorSports) to the list of games that are going to outsell Halo 3.  Animal crossing has a great shot as well.

If the pokemon RPG for wii rumor becomes true, it may outsell Halo 2:1
