Forums - Nintendo - Supposedly Wii's "Ninja Gaiden"

Looks like a flailing God of War game. I'll dub this God of Waggle until I know different.

I'm on the not expecting much side of the fence. Both quality and sales wise. But then again, I'm expecting a fair bit from Soul Calibur Legends, so maybe I'm not the person to ask.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

It will be interesting to see how much it differs from the PS2 version. I always thought it a bit of a strange choice to port a 5-year old game.

its more of a remake than a port, like NG sigma.

yes I thought so too, it is a remake isn't it?

Well, from the information I've seen, "remake" seems an exaggeration. "Port/update" sounds more accurate. I'll be happy to be proved wrong, of course; the original is quite an excellent game in itself.

The Wikipedia page says it's a remake, but neither site it links to indicates that. Plus why have a remake with a new hero and antagonist? Thats says sequel to me.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

i picked rygar for ps2 for 9.99 at Toys R Us last Christmas and it was a really fun game

@LordTheNightKnight:

It's definitely not a proper sequel. If you look at the Japanese titles, the original is called "Argus no Senshi", and the remake/update is called "Argus no Senshi: Muscle Impact". I think it's very clever to use a totally new main character to distract people from the fact that they've already played this game.

I just watched the video interview on Gamespot, and the guy was talking about "new modes, new enemies, new attacks" and how they were trying to make the graphics a little more crisp than on the PS2.

It's a remake of the PS2 version. Since they remade all characters in the game (enemies used to be animal like now they're mostly human) you cannot say it's just a port. The caharacter animations look great, environments less so. Tecmo added a mode where the force you use on the WiiMote to strike is transferred to te game, great idea.
