yea i have no idea who onion is either and a few other 70's. I mean i haven't played this game and haven't played a ton of other games this generation, and even games that i know i woudl not like I can understand thier value. Sure I might not see MW2 as the best game ever or even like it, but I know that it is a great game, and can see that it is at least in the 8-10 range.
and i thik everyone can agree and see that this game is great, made great, fun, replay value, not buggy/laggy/gliche, and so on. THere is no excuse for giving it a 58, or even teh 70's that it got. not saying it deserves a 100, or even 90+. But anyone with a half a brain can see its at least an 8.
rating mario, codmw2, and other great games this gen any lower than an 8 is just showing your bias fanboyism and unprofessionalism. Now yes I'm sick of seeing a thousand 9+'s this gen, I feel like over half of them shoudl be in the 8's, but I still can see them for them being great games and that they don't deserve lower than 8's. Which to me an 8+ is a great game. 9+ is the best there is that genre, and will be remembered and played generations to come. They won't be tossed aside when a new game in that genre comes out, they will hold firm as the king. (or used to be, now there are so many 9+, and they are outdated within a half a year.)
reviewers need to rethink this replay value. they need to not only think, can i play this for hours on end, but WILL I. If the game will be tossed aside in a couple months because the next shooter (picking on shooters since so many) comes out. that is not a 10 in replay value. Or if they find themselves going back to playing halo 3, after a month or two of MW2, then bam that is not replay value. Replay value is when you are still playing mario bros 3 on your old consoles, or a hack on computer, or on wiiware. Or still playing contrra, or tetris, or replaying some rpg for the 100th time.
Its not i'm just forcig myself to get all trophies/achievements and then when done/done with that game. Now being a non player of both MW2 and Mario at moment, I can't judge fairly, but I think its safe to say in the future more people will be STILL playing this new mario than will be playing MW2.
