Forums - General - How do you get in touch with a Developer?

So I've got an idea.

It's really simple, probably stupid, but I think there may be something to it.

I'd like to know what are the proper channels to follow when trying to get a videogame idea sold to a developer.  My biggest concern is that the idea is very simple and would probably be difficult to protect in the event that I told someone about it. I'm just wondering if anyone around here knows how to get in contact with someone to get this idea off the ground and to still remain protected, patent-wise.

I seem to remember seeing some discussion about how some people on this forum were in the industry as programmers or graphics artists.  Do you guys have any suggestions.

I have no clue..

 2008 end of year predictions:

PS3: 22M

360: 25M

wii: 40M

Contact details can be found on their respective websites,

I have emailed Natsume once before on an idea and recieved a very positive reply..

Ask for the idea to be forwarded to the director or sole developer in charge, because your email will likely only land on customer support.

Hmm I can ask that to someone.

edit:  You better do what artofangels said.

But I don't know the legal process behind it, copyrighting is a painful process, yet it is free.

The guy basically says, if all you've got is an idea then you better pack your bags and go home. Everyone's got ideas. Oh well, it was nice to dream for about 20 minutes.
