It's not impossible to have a GPU that outclasses ATI/AMD and NVidia... The Dreamcasts' graphic was EXTREMELY good at that time probably better than any desktop chips offered during that time... Many DC games looked way better than Half-Life and Counter-Strike during that time which was one of the "best" looking games.

Though, I will reserve my judgment on this new chip until I see it actually working ;x

I seriously doubt that anything IMGTEC can make will be that much more powerful than what nvidia/ATI could make in 2012 for desktop class GPUs maybe 3.5x times more powerful than what we have today if you ignore the 5000 series from ATI and G300s that will be out in early 2010.

they mostly make chips for cell phones etc it makes more sense for them to be making a chip for the PSP that is 3.5x more powerful that the competition as Nvidia and ATI haven't really invested much into that level of tech until recently.

Anyone else feel this gen is becoming stale? I mean we got at least 1 more good year left, but after that i want some info on a new console,2011 i expect to hear about the 720/PS4 and Wii HD.

maybe on your side of things yes, things are just starting to heat up on ps3, also epic is wrong seen as uncharted 2 is superior in every way, the only reason they can't do it is because of a contract lol, if they knew how to program on the ps3 things would be different...
there will be no ps4 until very late, one main reason is sony just does not have the money right now, plus i really can't see them going down the expensive route now, not with all the changes they have made recently on cost saving etc.
