It is a real glitch, after you finish everything in the Circle of magi, she asks to join your party and one of the answers is along the lines of "thank you but not at this time" and she replies "ok, I will be waiting here for you"

Then she disappears from the game.

Actually that's how it works for most NPCs, the text is just misleading.

If you don't recruit them the first time you can you can not do it afterwards.

Best is recruit them and keep them in your camp if you don't want to use them.

Man they should patch that then, many other people have had the same problem, and it almost ruins your game if you doin't have a healer.

You can make a good healer out of Morrigan.

All your mage requires to heal well is Heal + Group Heal and LifeWard, the rest is just icing....

^Yea that is exactly what I did, but when playing on the hardest difficulty it is impossible.

my god this game is addictive

played it for 4 hours straight!!!!!

anyways

I've got the ashes now, tried to kill the high dragon but FAILED!!

goin to the king

BTW that elf is flirting with me!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Zevran flirts with anything with a pulse.

Zevran will flirt with Shale if he could :P

But yeah, the High Dragon it's very tough, even in easier difficulties. Balms and tanking is the way to go. I'm now on the final stretch of the game, done all of the sidequest that I could, and now i'm on the scenario after the Landsmeet. 74 Hours of superb gameplay and still some to go :D

Provided you survive the first 5 seconds of the fight the dragon or Flemeth aren't that hard.
Let your tank grab aggro, take control of your healer so that it doesn't waste mana and it's an easy fight from there....
I woud advise not bringing a melee heavy group for those fights to reduce damage taken...

Best thing I can recommend is bring both Wynne and Morrigan. Have them alternate Cone of Cold to freeze the Dragon. Have your tanks pummel it while it's frozen.

Just finished my first playthrough in the game. The final battle is really epic, the Archdemon puts up a hell of a fight, but it's the actual fights to get to him that are actually hard. The battle at Fort Drakon entrance is the toughest fight in the whole game IMO.

Four Hurlock and Genlock Emissaries, two Dragon Thralls and two Genlock Alpha's who can crit even my tank for 100 damage..... I mean, seriously! o.O

The ending is really cool, and there are so many choices prior to the final battle that can affect so many variables in the ending, I'm eager to play it again just to see how it differs this time :D

I have the game, but I have been addicted to Borderlands.

But I want to play it soon.

Give it a try when you can. If you like Baldur's Gate or any of the old school Bioware games, you'll love it :D
