The recently announced Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 port of Wii game No More Heroes is now on the hunt for a new North American publisher. Ubisoft says it's passing.

In a statement to G4, the French publisher said that unlike the original Wii game and its sequel No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle, No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise shan't carry the Ubisoft logo on these shores. No reason given, apparently, but here's to hoping Grasshopper Manufacture can find a friend for those of use interested in experiencing "Very Sweet Mode" stateside.

While Marvelous is publishing No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise in Japan, the game doesn’t have a publisher in the West. Rising Star will probably take care of things in Europe, but Ubisoft, the game’s publisher in North America, confirmed to G4TV that they won’t be publishing the high-definition upgrade there.

Since No More Heroes already has an English translation, maybe Ignition can safely publish this without Entalize destroying the script in the process?

Spencer’s note: Even though Ubisoft won’t be bringing it here, I’m confident another publisher will pick up No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise.

Please delete the word 'upgrade' from that post before a shitstorm starts about whether improved graphics but worsened gameplay is an upgrade or a downgrade

Can't blame them for not wanting to support it, Suda 51's games are always niche, it was only because of the diverse userbase of the Wii that such a game managed to sell. Now releasing a port of the game years later? This game is not meant to profit, or even break even, despite being a port. It is meant to establish a fanbase on these consoles. Why would ubisoft publish at a loss in order to help Suda 51?

where did it say that the gameplay will be worsen due to the improvement on the graphics???

This game would loose too much of the fun factor without the Wii mote, and frankly not be worth the purchase above $10-15 for other consoles without other major changes besides graphics.

It's obvious, as it didn't say it would do anything to make up for the lack of the wii mote.

How well did raving rabbids do on the PS2 and 360?  Some games are just too tied to the wii mote, and this is one of them.  Without the wii mote, it's just a poor clone of GTA or other games with a different twist on the story but much shorter and worse game play.

What? I never said that the worse gameplay is because of better graphics. It's due to the lack of a wiimote

Which im gonna agree cus this game was made from the ground up for the Wii, putting it on HD consoles would be like putting Mario party on PS3 (No split screen)
