I decided that I had some spare cash lying around that I wanted to use and then remembered I haven't started buying consoles yet this generation so I finally bought a PS3 (Slim). Then I decided I should have something to use it for... and bought Band of Brother Collector's Edition on Blu-ray. Then I figured I'd get tired of the limited functionality of the gamepad as a remote so I bought the Blu-ray remote. When I was already so into it I decided I should also buy another gamepad, so I did.

Of course, I realized I didn't have any games. Long story short, I ended up getting;

GTA IV (I know I've been bitching about it but I need it because its GTA and even if its not great its good at least)

In december I'll be buying a surround sound system and I already have the 46" HDTV so I'm set in that department as well. All I need now is a 360 Elite in january (waiting for a good bundle), a black Wii in february and then I'll probably start selling my organs to the Colombian black market to afford all the games I want!

Anyway; I finally did it! I'm in the current generation!

You sure didn't go cheap on this, lol.

I bought a black Xbox 360 controller and used copy of Resident Evil 5.

Not as impressive but I've been in this generation for a while.

Yeah. All of them are pretty reasonable now.

You can get ALL THREE now for what the PS3, with an extended warranty from Best Buy, originally cost.

That was how I got my 60gb PS3.

Just remember not to neglect your PC! And get Uncharted 2 as soon as you finish Uncharted, best game on any console this year so far IMHO.
